YouthBuild North Central WV is a program of the Randolph County Housing Authority (RCHA) that helps young adults, age 16-24, create a better future. The program offers GED preparation, vocational training, and leadership skills training to help participants succeed in work and life.

Since 1995, as part of RCHA’s mission to strengthen communities in North Central West Virginia, YouthBuild has helped more than 800 young people gain job skills, earn their high school equivalency, and contribute to community improvement through impactful projects like building affordable housing.

What We Do
YouthBuild is a hands-on training program with three main parts:
GED Prep & Testing Help
If you’re aged 16-24 and not in school, we offer one-on-one academic support and computer training to help you earn your GED.
Leadership Development
Learn important skills to succeed at work, at home, and in your community. Training includes setting goals, managing money, using time wisely, and community involvement.
Hands-on Job Training
Choose between the Construction Path or the MedPrep Path. Both options include classroom lessons, job shadowing, and one-on-one guidance.
