What’s Expected of Participants?
- Weekly Commitment: YouthBuild is a full-time program requiring 30 hours per week.
- Program Length: The program typically lasts 7-10 months, depending on your progress.
- Schedule:
- Classes and training are held Monday – Thursday from 8 AM-3 PM and Friday from 8 AM-12 PM.
- Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions, including GED classes, hands-on training, and leadership development workshops.
Are You Eligible?
To join YouthBuild North Central WV, you must:
- Be 16-24 years old.
- Be out of school and in need of a high school diploma or GED.
(High school graduates may qualify under certain circumstances.) - Commit to an intensive 30-hour-per-week program for 7-10 months.
- Meet low-income guideline (see the table below).
